Automated Cellular Imaging System (ACIS) Arkansas Pathology Associates uses the latest tools to keep our practice on the cutting edge of technological innovation. This tool is an advanced cellular-imaging system that assists pathologists in analyzing immunostained slides from breast cancer patients to provide oncologists with quantitative results required for effective clinical decision making. The ChromaVision Automated Cellular Imaging System (ACIS) substantially improves the accuracy, sensitivity and reproducibility of immunohistochemical analysis. ACIS assists the pathologists of APA in providing reliable, accurate and consistent results for tests such as HER2, Estrogen and Progesterone Receptors, Ki-67, p53, DNA Ploidy analysis, angiogenesis (microvessel density) and detecting rare cells in bone marrow and lymph node tissue (micrometastasis). The ACIS system combines automated microscopy and computerized image processing to assist pathologists in precisely quantitating staining intensities and percent positively stained cells. Our pathologists, assisted by ACIS, generate objective, quantitative and reproducible results and create full-color reports complete with images of the cells or tissue analyzed. |
